SWTOR 7.0 PTS Sentinel Combat Styles Analysis. Harnessed Darkness. Shock and Wither gives you 1 stack of Harnessed Darkness per activation, making your Depredating Volts deals 15% more damage per stack and goes up to 3. At 3 stacks, Depredating Volts grants Dark Protection, which increases damage reduction by 1% per stack and goes up to 4. Granted at level 73.What? Absolutely not. Hatred isn't going to pull its weight on Terrors first phase (while Deception can eaily pull 9.6k even without taking any of the buffs) And with Force Speed's defensive reduction you can eat and stay on every slam. So there is 0 advantage to Hatred there.

There is absolutely no way that Hatred should be challenging Deception (which is currently by far the most survivable melee spec) at survivability. Like I said, Hatred should be a glass-cannon. As long as you are just taking a lot of damage and may require a certain degree of "babysitting" by the healers at key moments it's fine.

DPS is the simplest role to explain, as well as the easiest to learn and play. Damage over Time (DoT) is just what it says on the tin. You won’t be doing a ton of damage per strike, rather you’ll be focusing on keeping a sustained stream of damage that gradually adds up. Whenever you consume a charge of Recklessness you gain a stack of Reckless Critical, making your next Maul, Assassinate or Leeching Strike critically hit. Stacks up to 3 times.
